Sam Parra’s passion is producing small-lot wines from uncommon varietals. He only crafts about 500 cases, total, each year, and makes less than 90 cases of each bottling. “I make a Syrah since the Willamette Valley is heavily planted with Pinot Noir,” he explains. “So, to find a grower who plants Syrah is rare.
