The Wine was the Diamond Creek 1979 “Red Rock Terrace” Cabernet Sauvignon

What we learned about opening old wine:

1. Corks are extremely fragile
2. You need a special opener for opening old wines
3. The wine is much less fruity with age
4. The wine was still good!
5. Drinking old wine made everyone emotional
